Sodalite Sphere

Deep blue Sodalite sphere, measuring approx 62mm. Sodalite is a rich blue tectosilicate mineral, often mixed with white Calcite veins. It is often confused with Lapis Lazuli, but rarely contains Pyrite.Officially discovered in 1806 in Greenland, but Peruvians traded Sodalite as far back as 2600 BC.
