Selenite

Selenite slice, measuring approx 114mm x 106mm. Selenite is a variety of Gypsum that forms in clear plates, whereas Satin Spar forms in white fibrous crystals displaying a cat's eye effect. Selenite is named after the Greek Goddess of the Moon, Selene. For centuries, Selenite and Satin Spar have been used for cleansing and protection, warding off evil spirits.
