Mexican Agate Sphere

Mexican Agate sphere, measuring approx 72mm. Also known as Crazy Lace Agate, and can only be found in Chihuahua, Mexico. Displays patterns of swirly banding of reds, oranges, yellows, blacks and whites. Agate is the name given to Chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline variety of Quartz. It is characterised by its banding. The different names reference either the colour of the Agate or the location in which it was found.
