Lightning Stone

Lightning Stone, each half measuring approx 38mm x 34mm. Septarian nodules found frequently along Lake Michigan's shores and when cut in half, reveal brilliant lightning-like patterns of yellow or white calcite veins inside a grey or brown clay ironstone exterior. These were formed during the Devonian period through sedimentation, bacterial clay and cracks which later filled with minerals. You will receive the exact crystal shown.
