Fossil Coral Palmstone

Fossil Coral palmstone, measuring approx 56mm x 43mm. When Corals die, their skeletons settle on the sea floor and over millions of years, the groundwater rich in silica and minerals, gradually replaces the original material with Agate or Calcite, a process known as agatization. They are found in colours of red, pink, cream, yellow, brown grey and black and typically show detailed, flower-like or honeycomb patterns. You will receive the exact crystal shown.
