Caribbean Calcite Sphere

Caribbean Calcite sphere, measuring approx 41mm. This is a relatively new discovery from Pakistan and is named after its resemblance to Caribbean beaches, not its location. Caribbean Calcite is quite rare and not to be confused with Hemimorphite or Sky Blue Quartz. Calcite is found all over the world in a variety of colours and forms. Most common colours are Blue, Green, Yellow, Honey and Orange. Optical Calcite is a clear double refractive variety. Mangano Calcite, or Pink Calcite is a soft pink, that glows under uv light.
