Amethyst Stalactite

Amethyst stalactite, measuring approx 56mm x 35mm. A rare, tube-like formation, found inside volcanic rock cavities, typically consisting of a central core of Agate, surrounded by Amethyst crystals. These can be seen when cut into cross sections, displaying the distinctive, beautiful "flower" pattern. These are highly valued as collector's specimens. Amethyst is a purple variety of Quartz and is found all over the world, most famously Brazil and Uruguay. The Greeks used it to protect against drunkeness and it has become known as the crystal to protect against drinking and addiction. You will receive the exact crystal shown.
